DOVER-FOXCROFT — The annual 4-H Fall Fest will take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Dover-Foxcroft YMCA.
The event gives youth and adults from Piscataquis and Penobscot counties an opportunity to take part in activities. These workshops offer the youth a chance to learn skills, to create with pride, and to learn how to work together as a team. Any youth can attend the Fall Fest.
The following workshops will be offered this year at the 4-H Fall Fest: line dancing, creative movement, Busy Mom’s Cookie Jar, youth challenge, canoeing, dried flower wreaths, You Can Frame It, gourd painting, fabric painting, Snacks to Attack, and wood craft. Each youth will have the opportunity to participate in five of these workshops.
For a complete description of the workhsops and a registration form, call the University of Maine Extension Office at 564-3301 or 1-800-287-1491. All youth ages 5-19 are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is necessary to ensure that you receive the workshops of your choice. Some workshops are limited to the number of participants.
