Two notable feats were recorded among the tagging stations Wednesday for this year’s annual Maine moose hunt.
Eric Millbaugh of Wells registered a 918-pound bull at Pines Market IGA in Eustis. Millbaugh used a bow and arrow to bring down his moose.
At Mount Chase, several 1,000-pound and heavier bulls have been registered, but the biggest came in Wednesday at 1,110 pounds.
The hunt, Maine’s 19th since it was reinstituted in 1980, began Monday and continues through Saturday.
More than half of this year’s 3,000 permit holders have filled their licenses.
