ORONO – Mark Zajac scored on a Justin Bieber pass on what turned out to be the game-winner just 7:48 into the game as Drexel handed Maine a 2-0 men’s college soccer loss Sunday afternoon.

Adam Green also scored for Drexel. Goalie Mike Haberman stopped three of six shots for the 8-6-1 Dragons.

Goalie Matt Cosgriff made one save on nine shots for 2-10-2 Maine.

UMF 5, UMPI 0

At Farmington, Seth Woodcock scored a hat trick to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to victory.

Fev O’Neil and Jeff Meinhart also netted goals. Goalie Nick Moulton stopped seven shots for the 9-4-1 Beavers.

Goalie Jon Calemade made 25 saves for UM-Presque Isle.

Colby 2, Hamilton 1

At Clinton, N.Y., Doug Johnson scored on a Jamie Lue pass in overtime for Colby.

Zach Shull netted a goal on a David Manning assist for Colby’s other goal. Goalies Justin Amirault and David Friedman combined to stop four shots for the 5-5 White Mules.

Nick Wilson scored for Hamilton. Goalie Doug Bellard made five saves for the 4-7-1 Continentals.

UMPI 2, Maine Maritime 1 (OT)

At Castine, Ryan Saucier scored on a header off a Tony Caristi corner with 30 seconds left in the first overtime to lift UMaine-Presque Isle.

Matt Bouchard put the Owls up scoring off a Deahen Kim assist with six seconds to go in the first half.

Jon Cole and Eddie Marshall combined to make eight saves on 14 shots for the Owls.

Mohammed Ope Molley scored off a Derek Wilding assist to tie it in the second half, while Mike Bills stopped seven of 12 shots for Maine Maritime Academy of Castine.

Thomas 4, Husson 3

At Bangor, Mike Largay tallied the game-winner in overtime for the Terriers. Jose Palladino led Thomas College with two goals and one assist.

Richard Kelley also scored a goal for Thomas. Goalie Ryan Conley stopped 14 of 17 shots for the Terriers of Waterville.

John Jones, Brock Mattson, and Lee Bennett netted goals for Husson. Chris Allen added two assists. Goalie Mark Cuccinelli saved 16 of 20 for the 9-6-1 Braves.

St. Joseph’s 4, UM-Machias 0

At Machias, Todd Polton paced St. Joseph’s College by notching two goals.

Goalkeeper Mike Bollanz saved two of four shots for the 5-8-2 Monks.

Jeff Ward stopped 20 of 23 shots for 0-14-1 UM-Machias.

Women’s soccer

UM-Farmington 5, UMPI 1

At Farmington, five different players scored to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to victory.

Jodi Dyer netted a goal and added an assist. Megan Woodcock, Jen Lovejoy, Becca Brooker, and Richelle Dube also scored. Goalies Pam Goyette and Alyson Pontbriand combined to make three saves for the 10-4-0 Beavers.

Heather Norsworthy had the Universtiy of Maine at Presque Isle’s lone goal. Goalie Devin Jewitt stopped 20 for the Owls.

Colby 1, Hamilton 0

At Clinton, N.Y., midfielder Lizzy Rice netted the game’s lone goal for Colby.

Goalie Abby Russell stopped six of six shots for the 5-4-1 White Mules.

Bunker Hill 2, Unity 1

At Unity, the Yankee Small College Conference Championship was won by Bunker Hill College in a 3-0 shootout after two sudden death overtimes.

Michelle Decury scored eight minutes into the game for Bunker Hill. Goalie Desseri Rios stopped 15 of 29 shots.

Andrea York netted a goal on a Jen Madigan pass for Unity. Goalie Rom Harrison made six saves on 12 shots for the Rams.

UMPI 8, Maine Maritime 0

At Castine, the University of Maine at Presque Isle outshot Maine Maritime Academy 45-0 in the win.

Heather Von Oesen and Vanessa Cipriani each scored two goals and had an assist to lead the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

Goalies Tracy Forand and Monica Lock combined to stop 23 shots for the Mariners.

Husson 2, Thomas 0

At Bangor, Jenny Fish and Erin Pelletier scored a goal apiece in the second half to lift 10-5-1 Husson.

Pelletier’s goal was assisted by Jenny Fish. Jinger Dyer also offered an assist.

Goalkeeper Meg Taylor saved two of three shots for the Husson Braves.

Angela Steven stopped 20 of 24 shots for 2-9-1 Thomas College.

St. Joseph’s 6, UM-Machias 0

At Machias, Kristy O’Shey and Heidi Graves netted two goals each to lead St. Joseph’s College to victory.

Mary Gill and Katie Hyatt also scored. Goalie Kendra Brown stopped one of three shots for the 11-4-1 Monks of Standish.

Goalie Lori Anderson saved 35 of 46 for 2-13-1 University of Maine at Field hockey

Colby 2, Hamilton 0

At Clinton, New York, Sarah Browne assisted on both goals for Colby.

Lyndsay Peters and Marcia Ingraham scored goals. Goalie Jane Stevens stopped five shots for the 8-4 White Mules.

Goalie Lorena Gonzalez had 22 saves for the Hamilton College Continentals.

St. Joseph’s 3, Framingham State 2

At Standish, Jen Marsh scored a breakaway goal on a center pass from Lib Johnson nine seconds into overtime.

Marsh and Heather O’Boyle scored the other goals. Goalie Laura Lombardi stopped eight for the 10-7 Monks.

Gina DeStilo and Jody Lussier netted goals for Framingham State College. Goalie Allison Dick made seven saves for the Rams.
