Conley, Terriers upend UM-Presque Isle

WATERVILLE – Ellsworth’s Ryan Conley made 13 saves on 18 shots and Thomas College’s Terriers received goals from four different players en route to a 4-1 Maine Athletic Conference soccer triumph over the University of Maine-Presque Isle Thursday.

Mike Largay, Lucas Levesque and Richard Kelley each had a goal and an assist, while Thomas Healy also scored for the 11-6 Terriers.

Dave Von Oesen scored the Owls’ goal.

Jon Cole made 10 saves on 12 shots for 8-6-1 UM-Presque Isle.

Women’s soccer

Endicott 1, UNE 0

At Biddeford, sophomore defender Meaghan Ducat scored the only goal of the game on a direct kick almost four minutes into the second half as Endicott College edged the University of New England in Thursday’s Commonwealth Coast Conference semifinal.

Junior goalie Beth MacLeod saved all four shots she faced for the 12-7-1 Power Gulls.

Becky Brown saved three of five shots for the 12-5-1 Nor’easters. UNE missed a penalty kick five minutes into the second half.
