MAINE vs. BOWDOIN

Time, site: Alfond Arena, Orono, 7 p.m.

Records: Bowdoin 2-0, Maine 1-7

Key players: Bowdoin – F Emily McKissock (3 goals, 3 assists), F Shelly Chessie (2 & 3), D Gloria Sonnen (1 & 1), G Kate Connelly (.969 save percentage, 1.00 goals-against average, 1-0); Maine – F Kira Misikowetz (3 & 4), F Andrea Keller (3 & 3), D Tracy Caridade (0 & 3), G Amanda Cronin (.877, 4.27, 1-5)

Outlook: Bowdoin is ranked No. 4 in the country in Division III and No. 2 in the East, while Maine is now 11th in the Division I ECAC Conference. Yet last year, UMaine’s first in Division I, the Bears got a mental boost from 9-1 and 4-0 wins over their in-state rival. They’ll be looking for more of the same tonight, particularly after dropping two this past weekend to Northeastern and Providence. For the Polar Bears, freshman McKissock is on fire after amassing six points in victories over Bates and Southern Maine last weekend.
