Nye helps Husson trap UMF Beavers

FARMINGTON – Katie Nye tossed in 24 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead Husson College to their second victory over the University of Maine-Farmington Beavers in four days – a 67-66 decision at Dearborn Gym Wednesday.

Husson also tipped UMF in the consolation game of the Paul Bunyan Invitational tourney on Sunday.

Kelly A. Dow of Calais added 22 points for the Braves while Liza Doughty scored eight to go with seven assists and seven rebounds.

Becky Roak led the Beavers with 16 points. Jen Robertson added 14, Cara Moir scored 11 and had 11 rebounds and Megan Woodcock netted 10.

Shaun Tomblin added 15, Stafford Bente tossed in 13 and Robert Miller scored 10 for UM-Fort Kent.

Matt Townsend scored 18 for the Owls of Presque Isle. Jeffrey Joseph notched 15, Mike Rodriguez netted 12 and John Miller had 10.
