Haystack announces faculty, visiting artists for 2000 season

DEER ISLE — Haystack Mountain School of Crafts has announced its faculty and visiting artists for the 2000 season, which will open June 4 and continue through Sept. 1.

Session one, June 4-16, will feature: blacksmithing with Elizabeth Brim; clay with Bobby Silverman; fibers with Jozef Bajus; metals with Robert Ebendorf; mixed media with Harry Anderson; printmaking-paper-books with Patrica Olynyk; and visiting artists, “blink!”

Session two, June 18-30, will feature: clay with Martha Jackson Jarvis; drawing-painting with Jan Baltzell; fibers with Joan Morris; glass with Dante Marioni; metals with Chunghi Choo; wood with Stephen Whittlesey; and visiting writer Ellen Dissanayake.

Session three, July 2-14, will feature: clay with Nick Joerling; fibers with Carol Shinn; glass with Ruth King and Dick Marquis; printmaking-drawing with Joseph Norman; metals with Susan Kinglsey; and mixed media with Annet Couwenberg.

Session four, July 16-28, will feature: artist’s books with Marta Gomez and Ivan Soll; baskets with Lissa Hunter; clay with Chris Gustin; glass with Lino Tagliapietra; metals with Wendy Ramshaw; wood with Jenna Goldberg; and visiting writer Stephen Dunn.

Session five, July 30-Aug. 18, will feature: clay with Douglass Rankin and Will Ruggles; fibers with Pam Studstill; glass with Robin Cass; metals with Chris Ramsay; paper with Beck Whitehead; and wood with Gord Peteran.
