Gervais paces Pioneers with 29

DANFORTH – Chad Gervais scored 29 points and Jesse Levesque added 20 more as the Widom Pioneers of St. Agatha edged the East Grand Vikings 58-56 in boys basketball Wednesday.

Jesse Beam paced East Grand with 14 points. Dan Irish added 11 and James Godley netted 10.

At Danforth, Lindsay Faulkner hit a couple of free throws in the final minute to help the East Grand Vikings hold off Wisdom of St. Agatha down the stretch.

The Pioneers cut the lead to two ponts with 1:30 to go, but the Vikings were able to keep the margin at four the rest of the way.

Faulkner had 10 points and Brandy Osnoe grabbed 10 rebounds for the Vikings.

Courtney Lugdon scored 10 points for the Wisdom Pioneers.
