BELFAST – Katie Flaherty netted 21 points and Winslow had seven players score as the Black Raiders topped Belfast 71-65 in high school basketball action on Saturday.

Beth Rodrigue added 15 points and Katie Souviney had 11.

Kate LaHaye scored a game-high 24 points for Belfast, while Amanda Brown and Kelsey Bryant added 17 and 11, respectively.

At Bangor, Sara Smith scored six of her eight points in the fourth quarter to help the Highview Christian Academy Knights pull away from Elan School of Portland late at Eastern Maine Technical College.

For Highview of Charleston, sophomore Heather Niles had 14 points, seven assists, and six steals. Ami Waite grabbed 12 boards.

Emily Back and Kate Ryan each scored 10 for Elan.

At Islesboro, Erin Lobozzo’s 3-pointer with 25 seconds left capped a comeback for Eastgate Christian Academy of Portland.

Islesboro set up for a final shot with 15 seconds left, but couldn’t get one off in the face of intense Eastgate defensive pressure.

Annie MacIntosh led Eastgate with 14 points. Lobozzo and Sarah Veilleux each scored 10.

Annie Bolduc and Catie Delaney scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, while Kacee Johnson had 13 rebounds and two blocks for Islesboro. Tara Leach had seven boards and five assists.
