Thank you for the Jan. 28 editorial, “Empty chairs, broken chairs.” It is affirming to the victims of domestic violence to have people in powerful positions discussing the seriousness of the situations that they live day in and day out.
It is helpful to have people challenging each other to make a commitment, professionally and personally, to do what they can to help eradicate domestic violence. Battered women and their children know, however, that it is not what people say it is what they do that counts.
