Take county to court

I read the articles (BDN, Feb. 10 and 12-13) on Michelle Baker’s problem with her getting benefits from Somerset County (following the accidental death of her husband, Charles, a sheriff’s deputy), and couldn’t believe the treatment she is getting. It sounds like bureaucrats at their finest.

They should be paying her and if and when they get paid by their insurance company they will be reimbursed; she should not have to wait, as it’s the county’s insurance company, not hers. They are insuring the county, not Mrs. Baker. Maybe she should take the county to court and sue it. It also sounds like these commissioners have been in office too long and also the county clerk.
