AMANDA RODGERSON

BIDDEFORD – University of New England sophomore forward Amanda Rodgerson, has been named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference first team after averaging 17.7 points and 10.2 rebounds in 25 games for the Nor’easters.

The Hampden-native posted 13 double-doubles. Twice she was honored as New England Women’s Basketball Association Player of the Week and CCC Player of the Week.

MICHELE PLANT

BIDDEFORD – Michele Plant, a junior guard at the University of New England, has been named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference second team after tallying 15.1 points per game and shooting 34 percent from 3-point range.

The Gorham-native led the team with 61 steals and 83 percent free throw shooting. Plant was chosen CCC and Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week on January 17.

NATE FOX

ORONO – University of Maine senior captain Nate Fox has been named the Spalding Player of the Week. Fox shot 87 percent from the floor while averaging 26 points per game and 10 rebounds per game. Fox scored 22 points in the final 25 minutes en route to 29 points and nine rebounds versus Northeastern. In Sunday’s win over Boston University, Fox reached 1001 points in his two-year career at Maine.

EMILY KING

LEWISTON – Bates senior forward Emily King averaged 14.5 points per game, and 12.5 rebounds per game as she earned NESCAC Player of the Week honors for the third time this season. King grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds in a win over Tufts, moving her into second place on the school’s all-time rebounding list.

JAMIE CASSIDY

ORONO – University of Maine senior captain Jamie Cassidy has been named the Spalding Player of the Week for the fifth time this season. Against Boston University, Cassidy scored a game-high 20 points and added five rebounds. For the week, she averaged 23.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per outing.
