TEMPE, Ariz. – Mike Ross and Jon Hambelton each tallied three hits, including a home run, as the University of Maine broke into the win column Monday with a 14-4 baseball victory over Northern Colorado.
Jared Cochran of Norridgewock earned the win in relief, receiving offensive backing from freshman Mike Livulpe and senior Julian Bracali, who provided three and two hits, respectively.
Maine is 1-6, while Northern Colorado stands at 10-7.

Defiance 4, Husson 2
At Tampa, Fla., Husson’s David Dostie no-hit Defiance (Ohio) College through four innings before the Yellow Jackets finally broke through and went on to the win.
Barrett Williams had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Braves of Bangor, while Tony LaPrino also had two hits and drove in a run. Chris Morris doubled.
Dostie struck out 10 Yellow Jackets and allowed four hits.
