CHANDLER, Ariz. – Noah Mason scored on a bases-loaded walk in the 11th inning to lift Northern Colorado to a 15-14 win over the University of Maine Wednesday.
Mason doubled, singled and drove in three runs for Northern Colorado.
Jon Hambelton paced the Black Bears with three RBIs on a double and two singles and Brett Ouellette knocked in three runs on three singles. Joe Drapeau homored for Maine. Rusty Tucker struck out four.

UMaine softball sweeps
At Osceola, Fla., the University of Maine softball team defeated Stephen F. Austin 4-3 and the University of Rhode Island 6-3 on Wednesday to improve to 8-2 on its spring trip.
In the first game, Erica Sobel and Sara Jewett hit back-to-back solo home runs in the third inning. Sawyer, who appeared in relief for her sixth and seventh game this spring, came on in the fourth and threw four shutout innings to earn her first win of the year.
In the second game, Jewett hit a three-run home run in the first and UMaine jumped out to a 6-0 lead before URI scored. Ashley Yuhas recorded her team-leading third win of the year (3-1) while Sawyer notched her third save.
