Why is it taking so long for the forgotten people of northern Aroostook County to obtain easy access to I-95? We at the top of Maine have always been looked at the relatives no one wants to talk about.
We do not have the clout the rest of the state has and it’s money that talks. We are good enough to promote when the specific promotion benefits the whole state (i.e. the junior biathlon) or when the governor wants to spend a weekend snowmobiling, but make a request that will benefit us personally and the tables are turned. How long do we have to plead for something we rightfully deserve? Our hard-earned money went into the system that built the rest of I-95, so why don’t people in southern Maine want to return the favor? Marla Landry Fort Kent
