I recently decided on a Thursday that I wanted to fly to Florida the following Monday. A quick call to Pan Am and I was booked, leaving from Bangor, for the following Monday returning on Saturday all for under $300. No two-week advance notice needed, no Saturday night stay needed.

I boarded the jet, got comfortable in the wide, roomy seats and stretched my legs. A quick stop in Portsmouth to pick up additional passengers, then on to the Sanford-Orlando airport. During the trip, the flight attendants were friendly and helpful, giving us warm washcloths for our hands and face, a beverage and small snack. What a way to fly. Anyone wishing to fly to Florida should give serious consideration to flying Pan Am. It is a comfortable, affordable trip. It is what this area has been asking for, so now the community needs to use it. Penelope E. Olson Hampden
