When the Catholic Diocese of Portland announced its support for pro-homosexual legislation for Maine, I was both offended and curious. After some research, I’ve had time to gather my thoughts.

A recent story reveals that AIDS among priests is four to 11 times more prevalent than the rest of society. The Catholic hierarchy’s answer to this problem so far have been to cover it up and concentrate efforts on damage control. More recently, at least three priests from Maine have been involved in a very lewd homosexual chat room.

Through all this my heartgoes out to all vow-honoring priests. It must be a trying time for them. May God give them special blessing.

Roman Catholic Faithful has taken action against priests, cardinals and bishops that live two lives; one holy and one profane. On their Web site (www.rcf.org), they expose the Maine-based homosexual priest chatroom called Sebastian’s Angels.

In 1998, Mainers reversed Gov. King’s “special rights” bill. Since that time, representatives from Portland’s Catholic Diocese have been quietly meeting with homosexul lobbyists to help draw new special rights legislation. The Catholic Church has a conflict of interest on this issue. Diane B. Rines Greene
