PRESQUE ISLE — Northern Maine Technical College will hold an open house from 9 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 14, for National Technical and Community College Month. The general public is invited to attend and participate in the free activities.
Hourlong guided tours will depart from the Christie Lobby at half-hour intervals, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. A Life-Flight helicopter will be on display from 10 a.m. to noon. Health care professionals will be available to discuss the opportunities available in the EMS and nursing professions. A free e-commerce workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, and free video conferencing demonstrations will be offered at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the college library.
For those who cannot attend the open house, the college will hold an information night from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 13, for those interested in enrolling. Members of the college’s student affairs department will be on hand to talk about admission requirements, financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
