BUCKSPORT — Child care experts, local health programs and businesses will come together at Shop ‘n Save to provide information for young families with children.

The public will have a chance at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 20, to talk with organizations that stress the importance of quality care.

Representatives from Child and Family Opportunities Inc. will be on site to talk about choosing quality child care and about programs that help to pay for child care.

Staff from University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be available to answer questions about food and nutrition. Fleet Bank will host open houses so that families can learn about the importance of reading to young children.

This collaborative effort is to help parents give their children a healthy start and to help them reach their full potential.
