DANFORTH – Chris Irish and Tim Irish stroked three singles each Thursday to pace East Grand to a 17-7 high school baseball victory over Highview Christian Academy.

Scott Flannery doubled twice while Richard Byers had a double and a single behind winner Jim Zugelder, who scattered three hits.

Dave Day, Dave Bryon and Anthony Kneeland singled for Highview Christian Academy of Charleston.

At Harrington, sophomore Ashley Woodward held the Royalettes to six hits, striking out eight and walking none, as Narraguagus won the Downeast Athletic Conference championship.

Laura Morse rapped three singles and drove in two runs for the Knights while Annie Woodsum added a double, two singles and an RBI. Woodard had three singles and an RBI.

Rebecca Emerson and Naomi Chandler stroked two singles each for Jonesport-Beals. Monica Emerson doubled in a run.
