DEXTER – Ben Relyea smacked a two-out, three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning to propel Waldo County to a 5-4 American Legion baseball victory over Hermon Tuesday.
Relyea’s blast scored Lex Meagher, who singled, and Aaron Tripp, who reached base on an error.
Abraham Dugal contributed to the Navigator offense with a double and a single. Mike Macdonald got the win, coming in at the beginning of the fourth inning and registering eight strikeouts.
For Hermon, Billy Kane went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Brian Hawthorne was 2-for-2 with a pair of singles.

At Orono, Josh Emerson paced his team going 3-for-3, tallying three RBIs and scoring three runs in Orono’s victory.
Emerson recorded a two-run double and two singles while Aaron Civiello added a two-run home run and a single. Civiello had three RBIs. Ben Clark hit a two-run home run for Orono.
Rick McHale paced Brewer, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a single. Ryan Snell hit two doubles and had two RBIs, while Jason Harvey added an RBI double and single for Brewer.
