Dr. Rosen’s gift

I would like to thank you for the wonderful coverage in your paper on Dr. Clifford Rosen (BDN, July 15-16). It’s this kind of recognition and articles we like to see on the front page of our paper.

We are blessed to have Dr. Rosen in the state of Maine. I’ve known him for 11 years as a patient and have felt he would be the one to get the breakthrough in the osteoporosis field. I watch his caring spirit and love for patients go far above any doctor I’ve ever known. His trips, his schedules away from family and sleepless hours are all hard, I’m sure, but his zest for us patients and the study of osteoporosis is his No. 1 concern. And he always makes us feel that way.

Being an encouragement with such a busy schedule is a wonderful gift to us all who suffer with medical problems. It never should be underestimated.
