AUGUSTA – The Republican Caucus of the Maine House says it will participate in the national Legislators’ Back to School Day on Sept. 15.

The 50-state program, coordinated by the National Conference of State Legislatures, involves problem-solving exercises in the classroom.

State legislators will spend the day at schools, sharing experiences at the State House and observing how students handle their own committee work, public hearings and finals sessions to reach consensus.
