DANFORTH – James Godley and Rhett Mortland each scored a goal Monday as the East Grand Vikings beat Shead of Eastport 2-0 in schoolboy soccer action.

Tim Irish and Emmett Mailman contributed an assist each for 2-2 East Grand. Andrew Faulkner stopped all 11 shots he faced.

Chris Urquhart stopped eight of 11 shots for the 0-1 Tigers.

Girls soccer

Washburn 9, Easton 1

At Easton Saturday, freshman Liza Maynard scored three goals and contributed an assist as the Beavers rolled past the Bears.

Liz Howard also had a hat trick and assist for 8-2 Washburn. Freshman Heidi Goodine scored twice, netting her first career goal. Crystal Blakney stopped two of three shots.

Sarah Sullivan scored for 0-8 Easton. Stephanie Burch stopped 26 of 38 shots.

Bucksport 1, Ellsworth 0

At Ellsworth Saturday, Cara Pollard converted a penalty kick 2:21 into the first half to give the Golden Bucks the victory.

Bucksport’s Jana Richards made four saves on 18 shots.

Becky Lock made a scoring bid for Ellworth, a 30-yard direct kick that deflected off the far poast. Jodie Merchant made four saves on six shots.

Field hockey

Foxcroft Academy 3, Brewer 0

At Dover-Foxcroft Saturday, Amy Kelley scored two unassisted goals, one on a penalty stroke in the second half, to lead the Foxcroft Ponies to the shutout.

Diana Swett scored unassisted in the second half for the 1-0 Ponies. Sophomore Megan Ryder notched her first shutout without facing a shot.

Emily Goodness saved 23 of 45 shots for the 0-1 Witches.

JV: Foxcroft Acad. 7, Brewer 0

Old Town 4, Bangor 0

At Old Town Saturday, Shaunessy Saucier’s goal and assist helped Old Town beat Bangor.

Kendall Tracewski, Heather McLaughlin and Sarah Metivier each notched goals for the 1-0 Indians. Elizabeth Saucier tallied an assist. Kristen Osborne stopped all three shots she faced.

Allison Frazier and Frankee Walden combined to make 13 saves on 26 shots for the 0-1 Rams.
