PRESQUE ISLE -Former Maine Attorney General James Tierney, who was scheduled to speak tonight as a part of the University Distinguished Lecture Series at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, won’t be able to make his appearance.

Tierney was called to Florida last week to participate in the recount of the presidential vote and still is involved in the process.

The university will try to reschedule his presentation at a later date, according to Erin Benson, UMPI director of university relations.
