HOULTON – The Aroostook Crime Stoppers would like to solve a crime that occurred at about 1:50 a.m. April 7, when an armed robbery took place at the County View Hotel on the Houlton Road in Presque Isle

An unknown person entered the hotel with a handgun and held up the clerk. The robber jumped over the clerk’s counter, pushing the clerk to the floor. The person took more than $1,000 in cash, then jumped back over the counter and ran out the front door.

The suspect was carrying a handgun with a plastic bottle over the muzzle of the gun and wore a ski mask, gray jeans, short-sleeve blue shirt and latex gloves.

Police performed a search of the area, using tracking dogs, but turned up no solid leads.
