PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – A Portland man is in custody after a chase from Maine to New Hampshire early Tuesday.

Berland LaPlace, 25, was arrested shortly before 1:30 a.m., after crashing into two cars in a Portsmouth driveway, police said.

LaPlace already had hit a Maine State Police cruiser before crossing into New Hampshire on Interstate 95, according to police.
