We may slowly sink into constitutional chaos unless bold leaders step forward. With two respected Republican senators, Maine is in a unique position to add a very strong voice to those calling for a revote in Palm Beach County, the only clear and fair path out of this mess. Let us all encourage Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins to find the courage to follow in the footsteps of Margaret Chase Smith during the McCarthy era, William Cohen during Watergate, and George Mitchell and Cohen during the Iran-Contra affair.
