In his column of Nov. 9, Washington Post pseudo-intellect George S. Will labels Portland attorney Tom Connolly a “fool” for disclosing the 1976 OUI conviction of George W. Bush. Had this youthful mistake been disclosed by Bush when he entered politics or at least before the presidential race, it would have been a non-issue. This nondisclosure is clearly Bush’s problem and not his ancient OUI. The real fool is Bush for not “fessing up.” And Mr. Will, for knowing this, but not admitting it. Paul T. LaPierre Bangor
