WATERVILLE – Leslie Trott posted 16 points and 10 rebounds in the consolation game of the Colby Tip-Off Tournament as she led Husson College to a 64-54 win over Western New England College Sunday.

Kelly Dow netted 16 points for the Braves of Bangor while Katie Nye notched six points.

Jamie Carney’s 11 points led Western New England while Lyndsay Black tossed in six points.

At Fort Kent Saturday, tournament MVP Melissa Jensen scored 25 points to lead the Albertson College Coyotes of Caldwell, Idaho to the Bengal Tipoff title over host University of Maine-Fort Kent.

Albertson all-tourney selection Alyson Pincock scored 29 to lead all scorers.

For the Bengals, Nicole Cyr was high scorer with 11 points.

In Saturday’s consolation game, Betsy Elmer scored 19 points and Angela Robb added 16 to pace the UM-Machias Clippers to a 92-27 win over UM-Augusta.

Alice Bishop and Stacey Greenleaf each scored nine to lead UMA.

On Friday night, the University of Maine-Fort Kent Bengals kicked off their Bengal Tipoff Tournament with a win behind dual 11-point efforts from Nicole Cyr and Tracie Hobbs.

In the other semifinal game, Albertson College of Idaho downed UM-Machias 95-29.

For the UM-Augusta Moose, Alice Bishop scored 17 and Tracy Luzkowski added 11.

In the second game, Melissa Jensen led all scorers with 30 points and Heidi Gokascher added 20. Alison Pincock and Linsi Scwan each scored 11 for the Albertson Coyotes.

Woodland’s Angela Robb was the top scorer for the UMM Clippers with 14 points.

Presque Isle native Rachel Underwood was named tournament MVP and teammate Lisa Dolley was named to the all-tourney team.

Megan Amero tallied 15 points and nine rebounds while Lisa Dolley chipped in 14 points and Erica McGary notched nine points for the Owls.

Angela Ciccarelli led the Bison with 12 points as K.C. Wright added seven points and 12 rebounds.

On Saturday, UMPI defeated Emerson College 62-37.

At Orono, Gina Kingsbury led St. Lawrence past the University of Maine with two goals.

Isabelle Chartrand tallied a goal and two assists for 5-2-1 St. Lawrence while Amanda Sargeant and Jessica Wilson each notched a goal. Goalies Caryn Ongewitter and Shari Bryska stopped 15 of 16 shots.

Jarin Sjogren netted an unassisted goal while goalies Amanda Cronin and Dawn Froats combined to make 29 saves on 25 shots for the 4-1 Black Bears.

At Farmington, Mike Fullerton’s 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists led the University of Maine at Farmington over Maine Maritime Academy in the championship game of the Hight Chevrolet Tournament.

Tom Nadeau notched 14 points and seven rebounds while Jeremy Deeds tallied 13 points and Eric Benge added 12 for the Beavers.

Jed Johnson netted 18 points and ripped down 13 rebounds to lead the Mariner attack as Corey Streams added 15 points.

Mike McLeod led Mount Allison with 20 points.

On Saturday, UMPI downed Nova Scotia Agricultural College 75-71 to advance to Sunday’s championship round.

Rodriguez scored 18 points, but Ethan Birmingham was the big scorer with 23 for the UMPI Owls. Jamo and Moor each scored 11.

For Nova Scotia, Brian MacGregor scored 33 and Mark Harnish had 15.

UM-Machias splits two

At Presque Isle, on Saturday, Greg Richards and Brendan Muleshy each notched 17 points to lead Mt. Allison College over the University of Maine at Machias in a first round game of the Star City Tournament, 88-84.

Mike McLeod added 15 points as Randy Learmonth chipped in 12 points and Brad McCarville had 11 for Mt. Allison.

Josh Thornton’s 37 points paced the UMM attack while Mark Knowles added 15 points.

On Sunday, Josh Thornton led UMM over Nova Scotia Agricultural College, 83-63, with 22 points in the Star City Tournament.

Al Whitaker chipped in 21 points as Sharet Sims notched 11 and both Andrew Hopeson and Miguet Khan tallied nine for UMM.

Al MacDonald netted 14 points to lead Nova Scotia while Mark Mamish put in 13.
