BANGOR – Bangor Area Citizens Organized for Responsible Development will meet Monday evenings to discuss strategy in opposing plans for a new Wal-Mart Supercenter on Stillwater Avenue.

The group meets at 7 p.m. at the Peace and Justice Center at 170 Park Street.

In recent months, the proposed 5-acre Supercenter ran into opposition from area naturalists, who questioned the project’s potential impact on the nearby Penjajawoc Marsh.

In response to complaints, the project’s developer asked to rework the plans, which will again go before the city’s planning board at a future meeting.
