Cornell likes to get the puck deep in the offensive zone and use its size and strength to cycle the puck down low. Maine will try to parlay its quickness into transition opportunities off the initial rush. But the Bears can also be effective on the forecheck. Maine has killed off 27 of its last 28 penalties. Maine is without defensemen Cliff Loya (2-game suspension) and Peter Metcalf (knee injury) along with RW Niko Dimitrakos (1-game suspension for fighting major and game DQ vs. UMass-Lowell) and LW Brendan Donovan (kidney ailment).
