BURNHAM – Firefighters were quick on Thanksgiving Day to extinguish a chimney fire that was close to igniting the walls of a home on the North Horseback Road.
Charlie King, Burnham assistant fire chief, said the walls of the living room in Claton Corriveau’s home had not ignited when firefighters arrived at about 7 a.m. Thursday, but they were close to it. King said there was little damage to the home from the incident.
Pittsfield and Unity firefighters responded to the call for mutual aid.
