HOULTON – Roy Bernard, a district supervisor and 15-year veteran of Irving Woodlands who worked his way up through the ranks of Irving’s forestry operations, will present an overview of the company’s management philosophy and its application in northern Maine on Thursday, Dec. 7, at Shiretown’s Atrium Restaurant.

The dinner meeting, scheduled from 5:30-8:30 p.m., is sponsored by the Industrial Forestry Forum.

Bernard’s talk will include a perspective of Irving’s forest management and practices, including double-shift harvesting, which help the company fulfill its goals.

The forum is open to everyone; FRA membership is not required. FRA lodging rates at the Shiretown are $46 for a single and $58 for a double.
