OLD TOWN – St. James Episcopal Church of Old Town has received an Honorable Mention award, one of nine first Lulu Awards, from the Maine Episcopal Diocese Communications Committee, for its “My Weekly Reader” newsletter.

The award was for electronic innovation. The reader is edited by the Rev. Mary Ann Taylor, and Webmaster is John Gregory.

The Lulu Awards are named in honor of Mary Lou Lavallee, who was interim Northeast editor and communications officer from 1996 through 1998. She came to Maine in 1995 after serving the Diocese of Western Massachusetts.
