CASTINE – Three teens visiting family in town for the holiday weekend were caught trespassing in a Maine Maritime Academy dormitory late Friday night. They now face possible charges from the District Attorney’s office and the MMA security department.

Two boys, aged 15 and 13, and a 15-year-old girl, were spotted on the fourth floor of Curtis Hall at about 10 p.m. by a security guard making his rounds. The guard heard an odd noise and when he followed the sound, he saw the three youths running away.

The guard caught one boy, and the other two teens voluntarily reported to the MMA security office soon after. The juveniles were released into their parents’ custody. They are not permitted on MMA grounds until the matter has been resolved.
