PORTLAND – The Maine chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving will hold its fourth annual candlelight vigil at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Monument Square. The vigil is held in remembrance of those killed or injured by drunken drivers.
Friends and loved ones will gather to light a candle of remembrance and hope and put a “face” on drunken driving in Maine, according to Michelle Warneke, president of MADD Maine. An afterglow reception will follow at the MADD Maine office at 175 Lancaster St., Portland.
For more information about MADD, call 1-800-883-0249.
