BANGOR – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold a Christmas creche exhibit this weekend with more than 100 nativities from around the world that are on loan from private collections and congregations.

The exhibit will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at the church on the corner of Grandview Avenue and Essex Street.

In addition, the New Renaissance Singers will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, The Gong Family Chamber Musicians will perform at 2 and 8 p.m. and there will be a live satellite broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with a special Christmas message.

The children will have a special area where they can touch and plan with nativity scenes, dress up in costume and create their own take-home crafts. The films “The Nativity” and “The Lamb of God” will be shown during the exhibit.
