Orono is fortunate to have a new pharmacy and I hope everyone will join me in welcoming pharmacist-owner Ali Aghamoosa to our town, and in supporting our new local business. The Orono Pharmacy opened officially last week. The store sparkles with cleanliness and fresh paint, and Ali, his cousin Tala Talakoub, and our old friend Joyce Perry from the former Rite-Aid were all there to greet the customers. The stock is growing daily; greeting cards are arriving this week, and Ali hopes the local citizens will request that he stock other items that they would like to buy there.
It is so easy to switch your prescriptions to the Orono Pharmacy; you give Ali the names (or numbers) of your prescription and he will contact the other pharmacy to have them transferred to Orono. I personally want to commend Miller Drug for serving so many Orono people after Rite-Aid left; they have been wonderful to our family, and Bill Miller has also been generous in giving advice to our new pharmacist, Ali, in how to start a successful, family-owned pharmacy in Maine.
I hope all the citizens of Orono will go downtown to shop during this holiday season, and get acquainted with Ali Aghamoosa and the new Orono Pharmacy. It is a pleasure to do business in such a friendly local store.
