SACO – A man with a suspended license led Saco police on a high-speed chase before crashing into a carwash over the weekend.
Police charged Jean-Louis Beaulieu, 29, of Old Orchard Beach with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, attempting to elude an officer and violating conditions of release.
Police said Beaulieu was speeding down Main Street early Saturday morning and that his car was swerving and fishtailing violently.
He led police from Saco to Old Orchard Beach, sometimes reaching speeds of 95 mph, police said.
Beaulieu lost control of the car at an intersection and crashed into Sparkle Car Wash. Beaulieu was being held without bail pending a hearing in Springvale District Court.
