ROCKLAND – A city woman was injured when her car was hit broadside at the intersection of Broadway and Park Street on Saturday morning.

Carolyn Hahnl, 57, of Rockland was traveling south on Broadway in a 1981 Mercury sedan when she entered the intersection of Park Street when the traffic light was green, Deputy Police Chief Wallace Tower said Monday.

A 1989 Dodge pickup truck driven by Robert Ladd, 50, of Warren, which was headed east on Park Street, failed to stop at a red light and struck Hahnl’s car.

Both vehicles had $2,500 in damage, Tower said, noting Hahnl suffered minor injuries.

According to a Penobscot Bay Medical Center spokeswoman, Hahnl was treated and released.

Officer Joseph Bates investigated the 10 a.m. accident, Tower said, but it was not known whether any charges were filed.
