ROCKPORT – The University of Maine Symphonic Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, in the Strom Auditorium at Camden Hills Regional High School.

Curvin Farnham, director of bands at UM, will share the podium with Shianne Wheeler, director of bands at Old Town Middle School; graduate student Robert Frazier; and Nancy Laite, band director at Camden Hills Regional High School.

In addition, the high school’s Symphonic Band will join the university students in a rendition of the “Chimes of Liberty” by Henry Fillmore. Suggested donation for admission is $5 per person.

All proceeds from the concert will go toward the high school band trip to Virginia, where the group will compete in a national music festival in April.
