ROCKLAND – A Union woman suffered minor injuries in a Sunday evening accident at a Broadway intersection.
Colleen Hupper, 34, was treated at Penobscot Bay Medical Center and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman Monday.
Chelsea Payor, 16, of Rockport was traveling south on Broadway in a 1987 Mercury sedan when she approached the intersection of Limerock Street. Hupper was driving north on Broadway, approaching the same intersection.
According to Deputy Police Chief Wallace Tower, both drivers had a green traffic light, but Payor turned left onto Limerock Street in front of Hupper, who had the right of way.
Payor’s vehicle had $2,500 in damage and Hupper’s, $4,500. Tower said that he did not know if any charges were filed in the accident. Officer Ken Smith investigated the 5 p.m. crash.
