WOODLAND – Work has begun on improvements to Eddy Bridge, carrying Route 228 over Caribou Stream, according to an official with the Maine Department of Transportation.

The bridge will be widened by 2 feet on each side and new railings will be installed. Traffic will be limited to one lane until the project is completed, which is expected to take about 12 weeks.
