AUGUSTA – Three Vassalboro residents pleaded guilty and were sentenced Wednesday on charges related to a methamphetamine operation in that central Maine town, the Maine attorney general’s office said.

David M. Miles, 28, also known as Michael Miles, was sentenced to five years in prison with all but nine months suspended after pleading guilty to one count of trafficking methamphetamine.

Beulah A. Braaten, 41, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking the drug and was sentenced to six years with all but 21 months suspended.

James P. Miles, David Miles’ fraternal twin, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and was sentenced to three years, with all but 90 days suspended.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigated. The sentences were ordered by Kennebec County Superior Court Justice John Atwood.
