SKOWHEGAN – The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture has announced a $5,200 fellowship for a residency program for a nine-week session, from June 16 through Aug. 18, 2001. Full and partial fellowship support is available through the Bingham Fellowship and the William and Marguerite Zorach Fellowship for artists born, raised or living in Maine.

The Skowhegan school has an internationally acclaimed residency program for 65 advanced visual artists. It provides participants with time for a concentrated period of independent work with the assistance of a faculty of resident and visiting artists.

The program consists of individual and group critiques, faculty lectures and interaction and dialogue among participants and faculty. There are no formal classes. Fresco workshops are available.
