Congratulations to Robert Gardiner and Charles Beck for completely ruining what was once a wonderful public radio station.
Remember the days of Boston Symphony broadcasts, Robert J. (who had a marvelous talent for programming interesting and varied music, and who also knew how to pronounce names), a few pertinent news summaries rather than news ad nauseum, and opera? Even the latter has now gone the way of the dodo.
I would like to suggest that Beck and Gardiner read “The Inextinguishable Symphony” by Martin Goldsmith, and then maybe, just maybe, they would realize the horrible, despicable cruelty they have inflicted upon the music lovers of Maine.
