AUGUSTA – A woman with a background in Maine hospital management will be the new superintendent of the state psychiatric hospital in Augusta.

Lisa Kavanaugh will begin as top administrator at the Augusta Mental Health Institute on Jan. 2, 2001, Mental Health Commissioner Lynn Duby said Wednesday.

Kavanaugh replaces Rodney Bouffard, who left the post earlier this fall for health reasons.
