Animal cruelty

Regarding the story “Father pleads guilty in attack” (BDN, Dec. 7), it is amazing that the father is being prosecuted. This father’s act of anger was precipitated by his son’s “lifestyle” of having sexual intercourse with his dog!

Parents, just consider for one moment how you would react to such a reality. Even the mere thought of witnessing such an act of total perversion fills me with extreme revulsion. I am outraged that such behavior on the part of the son would be tolerated in today’s society, while the father’s reaction to the behavior will most likely be punished.

My question: Is this demented man’s definition of his sexual preference included in the “diversity” our society is now encouraged to “celebrate”? Also, will PETA and the SPCA become involved in defense of the poor dogs who are the objects of these deviant desires?
