Stearns uses scoring balance to stop Eagles Minutemen open season with win

MILLINOCKET – The Stearns Minutemen used a balanced scoring attack to open with a 55-50 schoolgirl basketball victory over the George Stevens Academy Eagles Friday night.

Jen Raymond led Stearns with 15 points and Ashley Boynton contributed 10 points to the total.

Michala Bunten led GSA with 20 points. Sarah Clapp followed up with 12 points .
